Minnesota State, Mankato Department of Theatre & Dance News Release 8-29-2012

?The Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Theatre & Dance will open its 2012-13 seasons with David Mamet?s ?November,? 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19-22 in the Andreas Theatre of the Earley Center for Performing Arts. It is the first show of the Studio season.

It?s November in a Presidential election year and incumbent Charles Smith?s chances for re-election are looking grim. Approval ratings are down, his money?s running out and nuclear war might be imminent. With Pulitzer Prize-winning Mamet?s characteristic no-holds-barred style, ?November? is a scathingly hilarious take on the state of America today and the lengths to which people will go to win. This is its Minnesota State Mankato debut; it contains mature language and themes.

Individual tickets for ?November? are $10 regular, $9 for senior citizens, youth 16 and under and groups of 15 or more, $8 for current Minnesota State students. Individual tickets for this show, as well as all shows in the season, go on sale Monday, Sept. 17, at MSUTheatre.com

The Theatre & Dance Box Office will be open 4-6 p.m. in the lobby of the Earley Center for Performing Arts that day. Subscriptions are also on sale for the 2012-13 Mainstage season.
